BRIGHT FLOWERS AND FRUIT.

OR HOW TO TAKE YOUR MIND OFF THE END OF THE WORLD.

Cracking white floor

My white bathroom floor had cracks developing all over it and it was making me very cross. I had meant to do something about it for ages but had been dealing with the homeless issue (John Boy) that was obviously more important. Before that we had, Brutus, our bulldog nearly die from bladder stones and before that I was cleaning after having a kitchen fitted in the middle of the apocalypse.

I pondered and decided I could do an acrylic job on it and use up the last of my old paints. From small acorns …..

My first leaves
Then the melons

At this stage I got daring and chucked in some melony things, I really didn’t know where it was going but it was fun…..

Some sort of orchids creeping in…

Then I thought I should put a bright flower in the middle……

….Then, what the hell some grapes might make it a bit Pompeii…..

….then it got some more twisty stems and some different leaves….

……correcting some dark purple ones which just didn’t work…..

My lovely neighbour Kaimo took this photo!

By the second day I had to concede I had to lie on the floor!

Ta Dah.

Now I have left it to have a think about the bottom left bit that needs sorting!

So now my friends I have a bright and bold bathroom floor. I was anxious at the beginning it would be too much, especially with all the crisis hangovers, but I love it.

Pale faced but determined!

    1. Just tiles that I spray painted with car spray in white! Then the movement cracked them! I didn’t prep (to be honest I didn’t even clean them) just worked them with acrylic and some guide lines with a sharpie. I thought it was going to be a problem without varnish but they’re holding up really well. Well see. I think as long as they don’t get soaked they’ll be fine!
