OR LETS DREAM OF THE GOOD TIMES THAT WILL COME AGAIN.
Solo travellers unite!
As I look back at the last couple of years of April fool pics I am reminded of the abosolute wonder of the world and also notes of what I should have seen as warnings from my time in Asia. When I actually went to China its unpleasant underbelly was exposed to me so I don’t know why I’m surprised they are opening their vile animal trade all over again in their markets with the same bats that “apparently” started this all.

This is super hard on the adventurers and travellers mentally. We are used to be on the road most of the time, and being a cooped up old bird I am especially screechy.

We are spoilt brats and used to our freedom and super stimulated by new environments and marvels around the world. Our bottom lips are stuck out as we flounce from the kitchen to living room for the hundredth time in an hour. We are wailing and talking to ourselves. We keep forgetting the museums are closed.

I especially have been cursing the bloody bat eating Chinese and their filthy wet markets of hell on earth, their torture domes, their terrible cruelty to animals and humans alike. We are now suspicious that life will ever return to normal and those fucking noisy neighbours will still be alive before the end of the lockdown ( I surely will break if I hear them crashing up and down the stairs constantly not mindful at all, the selfish oafs.)

The last few lines mentions the live toads and frogs. I didn’t venture further into that darker side of the market who knows what more I would have found and that was in Bangkok ffs, God knows what things they were selling around me, the oblivious tourist. The now known danger of these “wet markets” throughout Asia is damming, but the fact they are being reopened in China is absolute insanity. Are we to carry on going through this till we are all dead?
ENOUGH MOANING THE PICS BELOW WERE ALSO FROM AN APRIL FIRST

My ranting over I’ll be back to rainbows and lollipops from tomorrow!
Top tip: I am putting up my maps again and am staying determined to make those plans THAT WILL COME TO FRUITION, JUST MAYBE A LITTLE LATER THAN WE HOPED.
