Old Bird Travels Solo
Dedicated to older women travelling alone, and that means ALONE. Around the world to places on or off bucket lists. Challenging our deepest fears and showing ourselves that 60 and above is the new 18.
It includes top tips and alerts to guide my readers not to make mistakes that I have made along the way. More of a crashing and making-it-up-as-you-go-along adventure than a sedate, planned, all inclusive sunbed holiday. It’s half anecdotal so can be a little ribald, but it means I’ve done all the stuff with excitement and joy and sometimes a little horror.
My Two Bits of Advice?
Be brave. People of our age have had a rougher ride in many ways but maybe have been told they can’t travel all over ALONE. Well that’t a load of old rubbish. Writing about things applies too. Be brave.
Be interested in what you’re writing about. Seems silly to say, but I’ve sometimes found myself droning on a bit and have to give myself a slap. No joy in it no point in doing it.
